Heads of Departments & Team Leaders.

"As usual a very well organised meeting in a very nice location."

Array Biopharma Inc.

"Penn Speciality Chemicals participated in the OPRD meetings in Nice and Vancouver 2006 with very good results. Penn increased their sales in Europe of 2MeTHF by 400% in 2006 and part of the exceptional result is undoubtedly related to the high quality leads uncovered at OPRD"

17th International Conference and Exhibition PLUS Optional Short Course

Organic Process Research & Development

The Definitive Process Development Conference!

11 - 14 March 2008, Dublin, Ireland

The conversion of a chemical process into a process for manufacture on tonnage scale is of vital importance in the Chemical and Pharmaceutical industries, both from an economic and often regulatory viewpoint. This was recognised by the American Chemical Society and the Royal Society of Chemistry with the launch of their publication Organic Process Research and Development in January 1997, edited by Trevor Laird of Scientific Update.

The Seventeenth International Conference on Organic Process Research and Development will bring together chemists and engineers from all parts of the world to discuss issues related to synthetic route design, development and optimisation, and the scale-up of these processes in the pharmaceutical, fine chemical and allied fields.

OPTIONAL SHORT COURSE

Design of Experiments

Given by Derek Robinson, Consultant

Scientific investigations involve changing a number of controlled variables to direct the response in question towards a desired level. Design of Experiments (DoE) is a rational and cost effective approach to practical experimentation that allows the effect of variables to be assessed using only the minimum of resources. This short course will use practical industrial examples to explore the construction and analysis of simple experimental designs, and demonstrate how these can be used to increase throughput and enhance profitability. Participants should bring a simple calculator.

This conference will keep you up-to-date with the latest developments and is the foremost networking event for Organic Process R&D!

Why exhibit at this event?

The conference programme is designed to provide exhibitors with the maximum time to mix with the delegates. Breakfasts, coffee breaks, lunches and evening receptions are all held in the exhibition area, providing a relaxed atmosphere for delegates and exhibitors to meet and network with each other.
